Obituary for Priscilla Escobedo

Priscilla Escobedo a resident of Mangum, Oklahoma, passed away on December 18, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, and joy at the age of fifty. Born on September 13, 1974, in Alice, Texas, to Santiago Acevedo Figueroa, Sr. and SanJuanita Y. (Contreras) Figueroa, Priscilla was a vibrant and caring soul whose warmth touched everyone she met.

Priscilla's heart belonged to her family—especially her children and grandchildren, to whom she gave her unwavering love and attention. She married the love of her life, Jesus Escobedo, on March 24, 1990, and together they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and beautiful memories. As a mother, Priscilla was a rock, always there to support her children with boundless encouragement, wisdom, and affection. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she found true joy in watching them grow and flourish.

A passionate and joyful spirit, Priscilla had a love for life that was contagious. She had an incredible sense of humor and was known as the life of every gathering—always quick with a joke, a laugh, or a story that would bring smiles to the faces of those around her. She was a fun-loving soul who found happiness in the simple pleasures: dancing, singing, and spending time outdoors, whether it was fishing, camping, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature.

Priscilla was a cherished member of Living Water United Pentecostal Church, where she loved to worship and draw closer to her faith. She had a deep connection to her spirituality and a constant desire to be in fellowship with others. Above all, her faith was the foundation of her life.

Priscilla’s love of family and her zest for life were matched only by her passion for capturing moments through photos. She was the one who always had a camera ready, ensuring that every special moment was preserved to be shared and cherished for years to come. Her joy was found in the moments spent with loved ones, and she possessed a rare ability to make every moment feel special.

She is preceded in death by her father, Santiago Acevedo Figueroa, Sr., and her beloved granddaughter, Gabriella Estrella Escobedo.

Priscilla’s memory will live on in the hearts of her devoted husband, Jesus Escobedo; her children, Jesus Escobedo Jr. and fiancée Amanda Rosalez, Victor Escobedo and fiancée Summer Sullivan, Joshua Escobedo, Cassandra Vazquez and husband Ricardo, Tiffani Villeda and husband Wilmer, and Allison Escobedo and fiancée Martin Ruiz; her brothers, Santiago “Jay” Figueroa and Ivan Figueroa; her sisters, Eloisa F. Ramos, Sonya R. Figueroa, Yvonne F. Villalon, and Becky L. Figueroa; along with her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will continue to honor her vibrant spirit.

Priscilla’s love, laughter, and light will never be forgotten, and her legacy will forever be a source of inspiration to those who knew her.
