Obituary for Penny Carol Jones
Penny Carol Jones, age 75 of Medford, Oklahoma and formerly of Duncan and Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020 at the Servant Living Center in Medford.
Penny was born in Altus, Oklahoma on December 9, 1944 to her parents Alva Lee Jones, Sr. and Eva Lee (Witt) Jones. Penny was raised in Altus and she attended Altus public schools. Penny resided in nursing care centers for most of her life. She enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, and watching her TV shows. Penny loved taking the bus to church and being at the church services at her nursing centers and she always enjoyed family visits.
Preceding Penny in death were her grandparents, Andrew and Lillie Belle Witt and Jesse and Molisa Welch; her parents, Alva, Sr. and Eva Jones; her brother, Alva Lee Jones, Jr.; and her sister, Janey Paulette Edwards.
Penny is survived by her brother, Sonny Jones and his wife Margaret of Blackwell, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Kenneth Edwards of Foresthill, Louisiana; her two sisters, Joy Clemmens of Denton, Texas; and Myrna Butler and her husband of Lindale, Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at the Victory Cemetery in Altus, Oklahoma with Brother Terry M. Tims officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus.
