Obituary for Peggy Galeene Campbell

Peggy Galeene Campbell, age 71, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009. She had been a resident of Altus since 1974.
She was born December 5, 1937 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Gail and Lauraetta (Wright) Bland. She married Donald R. Campbell on October 31, 1956 at the Methodist Church in Guthrie. He preceded her in death April 11, 2000.
Peggy was a homemaker with an Associates Degree in Early Child Education from Western Oklahoma State College. She was on Ombudsman and a volunteer at Grace Living Center for over 17 years. She and her husband Donald had a Song Ministry at the area nursing homes. She loved helping people and enjoyed trips to the Wild Life Refuge where she took many photographs. Her favorites were of the numerous deer.
She is lovingly survived by her mother, Lauraetta Bland of Midwest City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Paula Molociniuc and husband David of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Claudia Drury of Moore, Oklahoma; her son-in-law, Kevin Drury of Moore, Oklahoma; one sister, Marilyn Wallar of Midwest City, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Sara Hogan of Oklahoma City, Josh Hogan of Los Angeles, California, Spencer Drury and Kelly Drury both of Moore, Oklahoma; and by two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Hogan and Isaiah Edmondson, both of Oklahoma City; and a sister-in-law, Kay Tweed. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Campbell on April 11, 2000; and by her father, Gail Bland.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the Grierson Hill Chapel in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma with Chaplain Charles Leggett officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Post Cemetery in Ft. Sill. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive guest at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
