Obituary for Pearl Elnora Kirby
Pearl Elnora Kirby, age 82, of Altus passed away Wednesday, January 11th, 1989, morning at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. at the Macedonia Baptist Church with The Reverend Willie Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Freedom Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Kirby was born March 6th, 1906 in Watonga, OK. She was married to William Walburt in 1924. He preceded her in death. She married Romie L. Kirby in 1940 and established a home in Altus. He preceded her in death in 1987.

Survivors include: one sister, Mrs. Mary Mewborn of Watonga, Oklahoma; two daughters, Bertha M. Douglas and Pearl M. Allen of Altus; one son, Roy Wilburt of Hobart, OK; 21 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
