Rush

Paul M. Rush, age 75, of Altus passed away Monday, June 18, 2007, at English Village Manor. He was born May 30, 1932 in Hess, Oklahoma to Hulet (Rip) Rush and Lula (Long) Rush.

He served in the National Guard with the 45th Infantry Division during the Korean War. After he was discharged from his duty term, he started a family.
He became a husband, a father of seven grandparent, great-grandparent, and a wonderful friend to many through out southwestern Oklahoma. Paul had worked for many years as a brick layer. After retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Paul is survived by three sons, Joe and Stormy Rush of Blair, Oklahoma, Michael Rush of Weatherford, Oklahoma; two daughters, Vicky Brislane and husband Delbert of Amber, Oklahoma, Belinda Smith of Weatherford, Oklahoma. he is also survived by three brothers, Lynn Rush and wife Kay of Sentinel, Oklahoma, Louis Rush and wife Janice of Mangum, Oklahoma and Mack Rush of Blair, Oklahoma; two sisters, Evelyn Riddle of Blair, Oklahoma, June Kling and husband Marvin of Mulvane, Kansas. Paul was also blessed with 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Tim Rush, one daughter Valencia Rush, one sister Sylvia Seay, two Brother-in laws, Bill Riddle and Jim Seay.

Graveside Services for Paul M. Rush are scheduled for Friday, June 22, 2007 at 2 pm at the Altus City Cemetery with Rev. Gary Usher officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
