Otis Allen Wynn, age 88, of Mangum, passed away Monday, March 10th at Grace Living Center in Mangum.
Otis was born February 1, 1926 in Marshall, Texas to Allen Lee Wynn and Allie Irene (Bass) Wynn. Moving to the White Flat area in Greer County when he was 2 " years old, where he attended school.
On June 9th, 1945 he married Colleen Haddock and they had 68 " wonderful years of marriage. He spent many years in carpentry work and farming. After retirement he enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes and going to the Hamburger Inn for coffee with the guys. Otis enjoyed being with his grandchildren and they loved being with their PaPa. He also enjoyed being with other people, whether having a fish fry, sharing his vegetable garden or telling the latest joke he had heard.
Preceded in death by an infant daughter, Dorothy Jean Wynn; his parents; six brothers, Nolan Wynn, Curtis Wynn, Elmer "Pud" Wynn, Doveard Wynn; and two infant brothers; four sisters, Lou Ware, Levonia Kerbo, Beatrice McElroy and Avis Peters; Otis is survived by his loving wife Colleen Wynn of Mangum; two sons, Carrol Wynn and wife Theresa of Mangum, Allen Wynn and wife Lisa of Sayre, Oklahoma; two daughters, Gayle Johnson and husband Gene of Branson, Missouri , Irene Davis and husband Rob of Oklahoma City; ten grandchildren, Sylvia Potts, Joanna Carpenter, Joseph Wynn, Randy Wynn, Jason Johnson, Jerrel Johnson, Heath Davis, Seth Davis, Ryan Wynn, Jennifer Wynn and a host of great and great-great grandchildren; one brother, Emory Wynn and wife Betty of Russell; one sister, Rethia Wynn of Altus; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Abundant Life Baptist Church in Mangum, Oklahoma with interment following at Roselawn Cemetery in Mangum under the direction of Greer Funeral Home " Mangum.
