Oscar B. (Junior) Raulston, age 63, of Granite, passed away at his home, on Saturday evening, March 7, 2009.
Mr. Raulston was born on November 28, 1945, in Elk City, Oklahoma to Jack and Gladys (Estes) Raulston. After attending school at Willow and Granite, Junior moved to Mangum where he graduated in 1964. For a short time, he lived in California where he drove a truck, but he returned to Greer County in 1970 and began a thirty-year career in roofing. In July of 1975, he married Sherolyn Fletcher and she preceded him in death on January 16, 2000. Attending Grace Baptist Church for many years, Junior enjoyed shooting pool and working crossword puzzles, but watching sports and spending time with his family were the things he loved the most in life.
Preceded in death by his parents and his wife, he is survived by one son, Ronnie Raulston and wife Ruby of Willow; one sister, Nadine Carver and husband Ronnie of Tulsa and one brother, Bill Raulston of Altus along with many nieces nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Junior Raulston will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at the Grace Baptist Church with Brother Tim Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow at Granite City Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Granite.
