Odean McKinley Warren, age 88, of Mangum, passed away late Sunday evening, July 25, 2010, at Grace Living Center in Mangum.
Mrs. Warren was born in Jay Buckle, Oklahoma, on May 4, 1922, to James Gilmore and Maude (Atwood) Sears. After working most of her school years on the farm and attending Deer Creek School, she married Gentry Warren in February of 1939, and they established their first home in Mangum. When their three children were older, Odean began working at several different food establishments in the Mangum area. In her spare time she collected dolls and quilted, but serving her Lord and being with her family were the two things that brought joy to her life.
Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jim Sears and Miltie Sears; one sister, Dorothy Miller and one grandson, David Warren, she is survived by three children, Nettie Griffin of Mangum, Terry Warren and wife Cela of Mangum and James Warren and wife Jenny of Mangum; three grandchildren, Mike Griffin of Oklahoma City, James Griffin of Tulsa and Jonathan Warren of Mangum; seven great grandchildren and many other friends and relatives.
Funeral services for Odean Warren will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Rose Assembly Church with Pastor Gary Usher officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
