Ocie Sterling, age 98, long time resident of Altus died Sunday evening at the Altus House Nursing Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 2:00pm at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Theron Booker assisted by Rev. R.K. Miles of Frederick. Burial will be in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Mrs Sterling was born April 14, 1892 in Burleson County, Texas and was the daughter of Tommie Williams and Polly Curtis. She was a homemaker and has been a resident of Altus since 1969 moving here from Littlefield, Texas. She was also a member of the Brewers Hill Baptist Church in Cooks Corner, Texas.
Mrs. Sterling is survived by children, Dessie Beatrice Laws, Frederick, Oklahoma; Eddie Sterling, Altus, Oklahoma; Irie Sterling, Libbock, Texas; brothers, T.J. Williams, Dallas, Texas; Jim Henry Williams, Lamessa, Texas; eight grandchildren, fourty-two great-great grandchildren, fifty-seven great-great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Sterling is preceded in death by mother and father, husband.
