Obituary for Norma Jean Marshall
Norma Jean Marshall went to be with her Lord and Savior after a ten year courageous battle with cancer on Friday, May 27, 2005. Norma was born on August 27, 1940 at Morning Sun, Iowa to Raymond and Mildred (Meeker) Long. On May 20, 1962, Norma and Phillip w. Marshall, Jr., were united in marriage at Winfield, Iowa.

Norma and Phillip moved to Altus in 1986 where she became deeply involved in the Intercessory Prayer Ministry at the First Baptist Church and the Lighthouse Sunday School Class. Norma was very devoted to her church and family. she was a loving wife, mother and granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Leland long, and her beloved aunt, Lois, (Meeker) Gipple.

Norman is survived by her loving husband of forty-three years, Phillip W. Marshall, Jr., of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; three children, Dr. Brian Marshall and wife Dr. Tina (Landry) Marshall of East Haven, Connecticut, Phillip W. Marshall III and wife Dawn (Dibell) Marshall of Keller, Texas and Laura (Marshall) Gorman and husband Carl of Arlington, Texas; her parents, Raymond and Mildred (Meeker) long of Winfield, Iowa; one sister, Marjorie (Long) Wuerker of Buffalo, Wyoming and one brother Gary Long of Winfield, Iowa. she is also lovingly survived by her three grandchildren; Jessica, Christopher and Jacob, and a host of many other relatives and friends.
