Obituary for Newton McMullen Barber
Mr. Newton McMullen Barber, age 76, 815 E. Elm, Altus, died November 2, 1976 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services have been set for 10:30 A.M.,Wednesday, St. Pauls Episcopal Church, with the Reverend James Mahan officiating. Burial will be in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

Born November 14, 1899, in Tennessee, he married the former Thelma (Peggy) Thompson in Wewoka, OK on June 1, 1932. Mr. Barber was a Drug Salesmen for Uliet Drug Co for the past 25 years.

Survivors include: his wife, Peggy of the home; 1 daughter: Joy Lou Borba of Fremont, CA; one son, Robert Barber of Oklahoma City, OK; seven grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
