Obituary for Nadine Bernice Walker
Nadine Walker, 89, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at her residence in Cookeville Tennessee. She was born in Jackson County in the community of Hess to Joseph and Rosa (White) Bartley.
Nadine was a telephone operator for 30 years with Southwestern Bell Telephone in Altus, a lifelong member of the Christadelphian Church, avid gardener, and accomplished quilter.
She married Earl Walker on June 27, 1936, in Hess, Oklahoma.
Preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Trula Hutchisnon and Mary McGee, and a granddaughter, Crystal Ragsdale, Nadine is survived by two daughters, Beverly Galmon and husband Chuck and Madi Burton; two grandchildren, Mark Galmon and wife Spring and Greg Sorrels; five great-grandchildren, Grant, Ross, and Megan Galmon, Zack Sorrels, and Tiffany Fritz.
