Obituary for N. J. Richardson
J. Richardson, age 66, of Altus, passed away Friday. Graveside services will be held at the Elmer Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. A horsedrawn wagon procession will leave Elmer at 1:30 p.m. Friends are welcome to accompany the procession on their horses. Born August 15th, 1922 at Elmer, he was the son of Joe and Sadie Richardson. In the 1950's Richardson moved to the mountain country near Dubois, Wyoming where he worked in the logging industry.

After retirement, he moved back to Altus in 1984 where he repaired saddles and western gear. He was the Wagon Master for the Jackson County 4-H Club and was known to never turn down an opportunity to introduce young children to the Old Western traditions and the use of horse drawn wagons. Arrangements are with Lowell Funeral Home.
