Obituary for Myrtle Lenora Eddins Wampler
Myrtle Wampler came to Altus with her parents from Caledonia, Texas. They settled near Warren, Oklahoma, later moving to Duke, Oklahoma where she married, Hayes Preston Wampler on November 5, 1912. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1929. Also preceding her in death were two sons and a daughter Leslie Wampler of /California, Noel Gary Wampler Pampa, Texas; Laverne Hyde, Duke, Oklahoma.
Survivors include one son, Wilbur M. Wampler, Duke, Oklahoma; one daughter, Mrs. Theda Allgood, Altus, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Jim Wampler, Duke, John Wampler, Duke, three granddaughters, Jane Stephenson, Altus, Donnetta and Marketta Wampler, Pampa Texas. Two Great Granddaughters, and one great great granddaughter.
