Obituary for Mollie Ybarra
Mollie Ybarra, age 63, longtime Altus, Oklahoma resident and formerly of Ennis, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 in Norman, Oklahoma.
Mollie was born in El Centro, California on November 8, 1956 to her parents Filomino Aguilar and Lupa (Pena) Aguilar. Mollie grew up in Snyder, Oklahoma where she attended Snyder Schools. On December 16, 1972, Mollie married the love of her life, Ricardo "Ricky" Ybarra and they enjoyed over forty years of marriage together before Ricky's death in 2015. She lived in Washington state, Ennis, Texas, and Mangum, Oklahoma until she settled down in Altus where has she has resided for many years. Mollie was a cook at the Magnolia Nursing Center in Altus for several years and she also worked for the Altus Auto Auction. She loved shopping, doing crossword puzzles, playing solitary, staying in touch with social media, listening to music and dancing. Mollie loved all her family and her many friends and she considered it a blessing to spend as much time as she could with them and she will be missed very much.
Mollie is preceded in death by her beloved family members, her husband Ricky Ybarra; her parents Filomino and Lupa Aguilar; brothers, Luis, Lupe, and Johnny Aguilar; her sister, Elizabeth Gonzalez; and her niece, Lisa Orasco.
Mollie is survived by six children, Donny Ray Ybarra and his wife Tina; Ricardo Ybarra, Jr. and his wife Lyndie; Eric Jon Ybarra; Edward Paul Ybarra; Tonya Jean Ybarra; and Sonya Renee Ybarra-Gallardo and her husband Nathan; her brother, Phillip Ybarra; four sisters, Lola Flores; Mary Ann Aguilar; Lupia Aguilar; and Susan Orasco; nineteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, October 12, 2020 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Chapel in Altus.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus.
