Michael Dewayne Garza, age 26 of Stamford, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2006 in Jones County Texas as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
Michael was born on August 8th, 1979, in Chillicothe, Texas to Danny Salazar Garza and Deedra (Carroll) Freeman. On March 12,1998 he married Tasha Lewis. Moving to Stamford in 2003, Michael was employed in the construction field with energy windmills. He enjoyed playing video games and the simple life, but his most favorite thing of all was spending time with his children and other family members.
Preceded in death by his uncle, Noe Garza, he is survived by his wife Tasha Lewis of the home; three children, Makila Garza and Jelly Belly Garza, of the home and Michael Anthony Garza of Vernon; his mother, Deedra Lewis and husband Larry of Lueders, Texas; his father, Danny Salazar Garza and wife Maria of Lawton, Oklahoma; one brother, Joshua Garza and wife Jessica of Olney, Texas; one sister, Michelle Garza of Lueders, Texas; grandparents, Juan and Ester Garza of Bowie, Texas, mother-in-law, Angel Lewis of Altus; father-in-law, Ivory Darton of Wellington, Texas, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services for Michael Dewayne Garza will be Thursday. July 13th, 2006, at 2:00 PM at Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas Hanes officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
