Mendy Kari Brock-Lawrimore, age 36, of Mangum, passed away late Tuesday evening, April 20, 2010, at Comanche County Memorial Hospital, in Lawton.
Mendy was born in Oklahoma City on December 20, 1973, to Gary and Gayle (Padgett) McCuan. After graduating from U. S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City, she attended the University of Central Oklahoma where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Mortuary Science. Mendy began working at Eisenhower Funeral Home in Midwest City and a short time later, moved to Hollis where she was a funeral director at Patterson-Greer Funeral Home for several years. On January 18, 2008, she married Roy Lawrimore, in Altus, and they established their home in Mangum where she lived until her death. Mendy was a beautiful girl with an infectious smile who was always willing to help others.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Lawrimore, of Mangum; her parents, Gary and Gayle McCuan of Oklahoma City; one brother, Johnny McCuan of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Keisha McCuan of Dallas, Texas and Brandy McCuan of Oklahoma City; her grandmother, Donna Ward of Oklahoma City and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
At Mendy’s request, there will be no public service. Cremation services were provided by Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
