Obituary for Melinda Lee Landers
Melinda Lee Landers, 60, resident of Boydsville, Oklahoma passed away March 17, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.
Melinda was born August 12, 1960, in Mangum, Oklahoma to Alvin and Mary Lou Berry. She was raised and Educated in Granite, Oklahoma. In 1978 she married David Miedel, of this marriage one daughter was born Amanda Miedel. In 2005 Melinda married her soul mate Kevin Landers, with this marriage Melinda gained three children. She was a caregiver always taking care of others whether it was her family or strangers she was always trying to help someone.
She was a long-time member of the Granite First Baptist Church. She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. She loved fishing, rock hunting, arrowhead hunting, but the thing she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family epically her grandchildren.
Scripture tells us in 2 Corinthians …..”to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
And we know that Melinda’s last breath was her first breath in heaven, and we are confident that you heard “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
She was received in heaven by her father, Alvin Berry; her mother, Mary Lou Berry; her brother, Dewayne Berry, and nephew Tyler Poahway.
She is survived by her husband Kevin Landers, her daughter, Amanda Miedel, her granddaughter, Serenity Deliz, children, Angela Berry and husband Casey, Britney Martinez, and Kevin C. Landers; grandchildren, Hayden, Braylen, Rayden, Lander Martinez, Jace, Quade, Cali Berry, Keaston and Oakley Landers; sister, Debbie Poahway, brother Stan Berry, and her best friend, David Miedel.
The Landers family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2021, at Greer Funeral Home Granite, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 20, 2021, at the First Baptist Church of Granite, Oklahoma with interment to follow at Rock Cemetery, Granite, Oklahoma.
