Maude Elizabeth Thrash


Maude Elizabeth Thrash, 89, long time resident of Olustee died Wednesday at the Jackson county Memorial Hospital. Services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Olustee Church of Christ officiated by Bill Osborne. Burial will be in the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Thrash was born March 18, 1900 in Greer County, Indian Territory. She was the daughter of E.S. and Mary Thrash, and was one of 15 children. All preceded her in death except one brother Marion "Bud" Thrash. She lived on the family farm south of Olustee her first 82 years but had been a resident of Altus House Nursing Home since that time.

She was a member of the Olustee Church of Christ.

Survivors include one brother, Bud Thrash of Altus, nine nieces, three nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
