Maude Grundy Gentry age 93, of Altus, Oklahoma died August 23, 1982 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Maude was born August 23, 1889 in Texas to James Jackson and Artie Price (Anthony) Grundy. She married Walter Gentry, he preceded her in death in 1960. Maude had been a resident of Altus since 1923. She was a homemaker and belonged to the Victory Home Demonstration Club.
Funeral services for Maude Grundy Gentry are scheduled for Saturday, August 28, 1982 at 2:00 pm in Tims Chapel, Altus, officiated by Rev. C. L. Abercrombie and Rev. Bill Davis. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Maude Gentry is survived by eight daughters, Ammie Gentry, Bakersfield, California; Zula Osburn, Tulia, Texas; Hazel Lance, Lubbock, Texas; Jimmie McCracken, Odessa, Texas; Merle Fancher, Altus, Oklahoma; June Stevens, Plainview, Texas; Ruthelle Dial, Prairie Grove, Arkansas; Christine O'Neal, Tacoma, Washington; three sons, Archie Culpepper, Ontario, California; Orlan Gentry, Tulsa, Oklahoma; G. W. Gentry, Woodward, Oklahoma; three step-sons, Dee Gentry, Bakersfield, California; Willard Gentry, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Cecil gentry, Bakersfield, California; two sisters, Lena Weger, Dennison, Texas; Annie Johnson, Eugen Oregon; one brother, Felix Grundy, Dennison, Texas; Maude was preceded in deathby three sons, Clifford Culpepper, Denver Culpepper, Marvin Gentry, one daughter, Wenona Berkley.
