Obituary for Mattie Lucille Langford
Mattie "Lucille" Byrom Langford, 102, long time resident of Mangum passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 in Moore, Oklahoma. She was born July 28, 1916 to Thomas J. Byrom and Febee Ella (Bartlett) Byrom near Duke, Oklahoma. She graduated from Duke high school. She married William A. Langford on August 25, 1940 in Fredrick, Oklahoma; of this marriage they had six children, Tommy, Joyce, Dorothy, David, Rodney, and Mary Jane,
Lucille was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church, Mangum, Oklahoma. She enjoyed gardening, looking at picture albums of friends and families, collecting "What knots" of all kinds but most of all she enjoyed being around family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, five children; Tommy Langford, David Langford, Rodney Langford, Dorothy Langford, and Joyce Hicks, two brothers, and three sisters, husband Willie Langford.
Lucille is survived by one daughter Mary Jane Kerbo, of Moore, Oklahoma; Daughter-in-law, Sue Langford of Amarillo, Texas; 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019 at Greer Funeral Home, Mangum, Oklahoma interment will follow at Duke Rock Cemetery, Duke, Oklahoma. Funeral services have been entrusted to Greer Funeral Home, Mangum, Oklahoma.
