Obituary for Mary Wanda Strickland
Mary Wanda Strickland died Saturday, May 18th, 1996 in the Southwest Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was born October 25th, 1922, in Harmon County. She was a resident of Gould, Oklahoma during her early childhood years. She graduated from Willow, Oklahoma. In 1947 she moved to Houston, Texas where she remained until her death. During her time in Houston, she worked for the Golightly Construction Company, Ingersoll-Rand, and retired from the Union Pump Company. She was the daughter of Ira and Beatrice (Berry) Strickland who ran the telephone office at Gould for many years.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 21, 1996 at the Gould Church of Christ at 3:00 p.m. with Olen Brock and Lynn Leverett and Bill Osborne officiating. Burial will be in the Gould Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; three sisters; one brother.

Survivors include: a brother-in-law, Glen Brock of Altus, OK; nieces and nephews, Paula Brock Leverett, Olen Mack Brock, Ken and Jim Crossland, Sharon Ratliff Urais and Bob Ratliff.
