Obituary for Mary Louise Wood
Mary Louise Wood, age 63, a lifelong resident of Hollis, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at her home in Hollis.
Mary was born in Hollis, Oklahoma on July 23, 1956 to her parents Virgil and Emma (Teague) Eakes. She worked as a Ward Secretary at the hospital for many years and she was a longtime member of the Faith Baptist Church in Hollis. Mary enjoyed being involved with the Hollis All Sports and loved watching all her grandkid's sporting activities. She also enjoyed playing on her computer, watching movies, crocheting, and playing bingo. Time with family was always the most important part of Mary's life and she will be missed very much.
Preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Ann Eakes; two half sisters, Mary Helen Mitchell; and Mildred Louise Saxon; Mary is survived by her two sons, Damon Wood and his wife Tara of Quanah, Texas; and Adam Wood and his wife Jessica of Burns Flat, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Allyssa, Ashlee, Macgwire, Jordan, Koda, Jaycee, Delaney, and Rhilley; two great granddaughters, Delilah and Isabelle; as well as numerous other family members, nieces and nephews and many friends.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Faith Baptist Church in Hollis with Pastor Randy Overstreet officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
