Mary Louise (Anderson) Hahn

Mary Louise (Anderson) Hahn, 90, of Granite, went to be with her Lord Monday, June 29, 2020, while at the Magnolia Creek Skilled Nursing and Therapy Center in Altus, Oklahoma.
Mary Louise was born in Granite, Oklahoma on September 16, 1929, to Clovis and Mamie Melissia (Peacock) Anderson.
She graduated from Granite School in 1947 and was the Historian of her class. She loved music and was one of four who sang at her graduation. Mary Lou was also active in basketball and softball.
On Mother’s Day, May 14, 1950, she married the love of her life, Eugene John Hahn in St. John’s Lutheran Church, located south of Granite. They made their home on a farm the next two years east of Mangum, then moved to Granite.
Mary Lou was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was confirmed April 27, 1950. Her confirmation Bible verse was Isaiah 54 verse 10. She taught Sunday School, was a member of Aid Association for Lutherans, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and a RSVP board member of the Senior Citizens. She enjoyed delivering lunches to her favorite people.
She worked at The Granite Drug Store for twenty-five years, Joiner Café, Granite Otasco, Pryor Department Store, and The Granite Enterprise.
Her hobbies included fishing, crocheting, cooking and baking. Mary’s favorite hobby was decorating cookies for showers and cakes for birthdays and weddings. Mary’s specialty was decorating four to five tiered wedding cakes. Her satisfaction came from seeing the smiles on people’s face when they first saw the cakes.
