Mary Louise was born in Granite, Oklahoma on September 16, 1929, to Clovis and Mamie Melissia (Peacock) Anderson.
She graduated from Granite School in 1947 and was the Historian of her class. She loved music and was one of four who sang at her graduation. Mary Lou was also active in basketball and softball.
On Mother’s Day, May 14, 1950, she married the love of her life, Eugene John Hahn in St. John’s Lutheran Church, located south of Granite. They made their home on a farm the next two years east of Mangum, then moved to Granite.
Mary Lou was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was confirmed April 27, 1950. Her confirmation Bible verse was Isaiah 54 verse 10.
