Mary Jane Hunter 71, of Blair, Oklahoma died December 7, 1966 after a fall on the sidewalk at her sisters Mrs. C.J. Spann's home. Mary was born July 6, 1895 in Texas to T.E. and Sarah (Dunn) Castles. She married Rex Hunter January 7, 1958 in Vernon Texas. Mary had been a resident of Blair most of her life. Mary taught school in Hobart, Oklahoma; worked in the Jackson County Court Clerk's office for 8 years before retiring.
Funeral services for Mary Jane Hunter are scheduled for December 10, 1966 at 2:00pm in the Church of Christ in Warren, Oklahoma, officiated by Ardron Hinton and Durward Weatherford. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Mary Jane Hunter is survived by her husband of the Rex Hunter, Blair, Oklahoma; four sisters, Mrs. J.C. Reed, Martha, Oklahoma; Mrs. S.E. Nobles, Delann, California; Mrs. C.J. Spann, Altus, Oklahoma; Mrs. James C. Bailey, Lawton, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews.
