Mary Ellen Welch was born April 24th, 1917 in Denton, Texas, she moved to the Altus area as a young child. Mary Ellen was married to Lester Beckham. They moved to Seattle, Washington about a year ago. Mary Ellen passed away in Seattle, Washington on January 23, 1967. Services are scheduled for Sunday, January 29, 1967 at 2:00 P.M. at the Tims Chapel of Memories. Burial will be at the Victory Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

Mary Ellen Beckham worked as a waitress and was of Baptist Faith. She if survived by her husband, Lester Beckham of Seattle, Washington, Her mother Mrs Mollissie Janey Welch of Altus, Oklahoma. Six brothers: Alvie Welch, Eugene Welch, LeRoy Welch all of Altus, Oklahoma and John Welch, Bob Welch and Raymond Welch all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and two sisters: Opal Drake, Dora Mae Clark both of Altus, Oklahoma. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
