Obituary for Mary Ann Foster
Mary Ann Foster, age 80, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, January 20th, 2002 at English Village Manor. She was born June 8, 1921 in Forestburg, Texas.
She had lived in the Altus community since 1957, moving here from Forestburg, Texas. She married Owen Foster and he preceded her in death. On February 14, 1998 in Altus, Oklahoma, Mary Ann and James C. Shrum were united in marriage.
Mary Ann worked at Jackson County Memorial Hospital as an account collector. She retired from there with over twenty-five years of service. She was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God in Altus, Oklahoma.
She is survived by husband James C. Shrum of Altus, Oklahoma; one son, Gordon Foster of Centerville, Indiana; four grandchildren, Kim Messier of Rhode Island, Doug Foster of El Paso, Texas, Keith Foster and Sarah Foster, both of Indiana; two great-grandchildren, Daniel Messier of Rhode Island and Linda Marie Foster of El Paso, Texas and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Owen Foster; several brothers and sisters, including Minnie Dickinson and Veta Russell.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 22, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
