Mary Ann Briscoe age 94, of Hess, Oklahoma, died November 4, 1982 at the Altus House Nursing Home.
Mary was born September 13, 1888 in Bell County, Texas to Levi and Martha (Underwood) Phelps. She married Lewis Briscoe November 5, 1905. Lewis preceded her in death November 16, 1947. Mary was a member of Elm and Hudson Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Mary Briscoe are scheduled for November 5, 1982 at 2:00 pm in the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ, Altus, officiated by Bill Osborne and Clyde Sloan. Burial will follow in the Hess Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Mary Ann Briscoe is survived by three daughters, Ethel Fowler, Downy, California; Opal Sadler, Altus, Oklahoma; Wilma Burrow, Amarillo, Texas; four sons, Loyd Briscoe, Altus, Oklahoma; Lester Briscoe, Altus, Oklahoma; Lonnie Briscoe, Altus, Oklahoma; Leland Briscoe, Altus, Oklahoma; eighteen grandchildren; two brothers, Enoch Phelps, Madill, Oklahoma; Allin Phelps, Oklahoma; two sisters, Mrs. Charles White, Cossville, Mo.; Myrtle Jones, Tulia, Texas.
