Obituary for Marlin Rush Tally
Marlin (M.R.) Rush Tally, age 93, former Mangum resident, passed away Wednesday, April 8th, 1998 in the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born October 24th, 1904 in Quinlan, TX to the late Whit and Lena (Pettus) Tally. He was a retired bricklayer and lifetime member of the Bricklayers, Masons and Plasterers International Union Local 23 and the Woodmen of the World Lodge. He was a member of the Christian Science Mother Church in Boston, MA.
Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. at the Altus City Cemetery with Ray Holland officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: three children, Marlene Jones of Altus, OK, Carl Tally of Tecumseh, OK, and Norman Tally of Owasso, OK; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Glen Tally; two sisters, Echra Henderson and Ara Tally.
