Obituary for Marjorie Louise Monzingo
Marjorie Louise Monzingo was born Jan 5, 1918 in Marshfield, Oregon. She was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Minnie Lee (Ross) Allison. She died Jan 4, 2003 in Altus.
She was a longtime resident of Altus and Jackson County having resided here since 1929.
She married Leroy Monzingo, March 11, 1934 in Mangum, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1954. She owned and operated a restaurant in Altus for 30 years. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: Son, Ken Monzingo of San Diego, California; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Sandra Jean Walker and one sister, Edith Hadley.
Rosary service for Marjorie Louise Monzingo is scheduled for Friday, May 7, 2004 at 6:15 p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Joseph Arledge officiating.
Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, May 8, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. at Altus City Cemetery with Reverend Doug Burr officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
