Mariesta Obenhaus age 36, of Altus, died August 8, 1971, at Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Mariesta was born January 20, 1935 in Davidson, Oklahoma to Robert L. and Winnie (McCormick) Kidd. Mariesta graduated from Altus High School in 1952. She attended Southwestern College, graduating in 1956. Mariesta was a member of E. E. A., W.S.C.S., church organist and the Mc Dowell Club. Mariesta married Tom Obenhaus June 20, 1956 in Altus Oklahoma. She was the music teach at Navajoe School.
Funeral services for Mariesta are scheduled for February 10, 1971, at 3:30 pm in Highland Heights Methodist Church, Altus, officiated by Rev. Don Calvert and Rev. Norman Meares. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Mariesta Obenhaus is survived by her husband, Tom of the home in Altus, one son Thomas Kevin Obenhaus, of the home in Altus; mother Winnie Kidd, Elmer, Oklahoma; one brother, Charlie Kidd, Duke, Oklahoma.
