Marie was raised and educated in Greer County, Oklahoma. At the young age of twelve Marie accepted Jesus Christ by praying the sinner's prayer. After graduation Marie started working at Brum Drug in Mangum through hard work and dedication to her craft she would be promoted to pharmacist. She achieved her license thru self-study and taking her state boards. Marie retired in 2008 after sixty-three years of service.
