Obituary for Margaret Nan Elizabeth (Nannie) Burnett
Mrs. Nannie Burnett, age 83, long time resident of Eldorado and resident of Altus for the past number of years, died Monday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Altus, officiated by the Reverend Dean Robinson. Burial will be in Eldorado Cemetery, graveside for Eldorado friends to be at 3:15 P.M.
Born May 3rd, 1895 in Dirt Town Valley, Georgia, she came to this area at an early age. Her husband, the late J.L. Burnett, died in 1958. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Altus.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Katherine) Hickerson of Altus; one son, William Wolfe of Eldorado and Arkansas; three step-sons, Otis, Holly and J.L. Burnett, all of Eldorado; one step-daughter, Mrs. Ruby Guthrie of Georgia; one brother, Lee Davis of Paris, Arkansas; one sister, Lou Ella Thompson of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren.
