Obituary for Margaret Joan Walton
Margaret Joan Walton, 81, resident of Mangum, Oklahoma passed away February 22, 2019 in Altus, Oklahoma. She was born March 30, 1937 to Alva Jackson and Gertie Eve (Henderson) Hurt in Greer county. She was the fifth of nine children born to the Hurt family. She graduated from Granite High School in 1954. Soon after high school she started working for Granite Drug, serving behind the counter in for their soda foundation. Margaret started working for the City of Granite reading meters and retired as the city clerk.
She is survived by son, Fred Willis, Jr and wife Brandy, daughter Freda Ditmore, sister Yvonne Stevens, grandchildren, Heather Moore, B.J. Ditmore, Brice Ditmore, Brandon Ditmore, Angelica Willis, Nathan Willis, three great children Austyn, Asher, Alyxiia, Abby and Addy.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, and seven siblings.
Cremation arrangements are with Greer Funeral Home, Mangum, Oklahoma.
