Obituary for Malcolm Vergil Wilkerson
Malcolm Vergil Wilkerson, age 74, a resident of Dill City, Oklahoma, formerly of Godley, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008 at his home in Dill City with his family by his side.
Vergil was born on March 7, 1934 in Chester, Mississippi to Alvin and Maudine (Christopher) Wilkerson. In 1992 Vergil married Delpha Brown. He worked for Bell Helicopters as a Quality Control Manager and retired after 15 years with Bell. Vergil was a mason and also enjoyed playing the steel guitar and lead guitar and riding tractors. He was a good man and loved his family and he will be missed very much.
Preceding Vergil in death were his parents, Alvin and Maudine Wilkerson; three children, Cathy Osten; Carol Teck; Rodney Adams; one daughter-in-law, Susan Wilkerson; one brother, Clinton "Al" Wilkerson; and one grandson, Charlie Malcolm Engersaw.
Vergil is survived by his wife Delpha of the home; six children, Vergil Lee and his wife Edie of Little Rock, Arkansas; James Wilkerson of Waco, Texas; Stephen and his wife Myriam of Haslet, Texas; Rhonda McElroy of Dill City, Oklahoma; Ricky Williams and his wife Peggy of Dill City, Oklahoma; Vickie Lewallen and her husband Kenny of Elk City, Oklahoma; two brothers, Alvin Wilkerson and his wife Betty of Granbury, Texas; Matt Wilkerson and his wife Francine of Arlington, Texas; nineteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, numerous other relatives and many friends.
