Maggie F. Leonard was born May 27, 1908 at Roanoke, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Ed W. and Bertha Savage Bearden. She died May 10, 2000 at Altus Oklahoma.
Maggie married Cecil Gordon Leonard November 30, 1926 at Duke, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death in 1988. She was a long time resident of Duke and Jackson County having resided in Duke since 1913. She was a long time member of the Duke First Baptist Church and was a member of the Duke Extension Homemakers over 50 years.

1 Brother: Monte Bearden Duke, Oklahoma
13 Great-grandchildren, 5 Great-great-grandchildren, 36 nieces and nephews
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons, John Ed Leonard and Harold Gene Leonard, 2 Brothers Omer Bearden and Chet Bearden and by 1 sister Nina Owens.
Services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Saturday May 13, 2000 at the First Baptist Church of Duke with Rev. Everett Smalts and Rev. Keith Gillham officiating. Interment will follow at the rock Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
