Obituary for Lucille Violet Lauderdale
Lucille Violet Wise Lauderdale, 102 passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2005 in Pasadena, Texas.
She was born to W.H. and Myrtle (Han) Leathwood on September 28, 1902 in Spikard, Missouri. Lucille dedicated many years to teaching. As a young single teacher at Louis Hill, Lucille met Kenneth Wise. They were married June 17, 1925 in Eldorado. In the years following she taught at Midway, Texline, Willow View, Texas, Ira, Texas. She retired from the Eldorado School System.
Lucille was a member of the First Baptist Church, Eldorado and was also active in the Business and Professional Women's Club for a number of years.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth Wise, her second husband Bill Lauderdale and a brother Carl Leathwood.
Survivors include daughters, Audeanne Schneider, Somerville, Texas, Shirley Pradt and her husband Charles, Pasadena, Texas; five grandchildren, Kenneth and Charles Schneider, Gregory Pradt, Rebecca Hampton and Diane Singletary;
and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, September 9, 2005 at 10:00 am in the Eldorado Cemetery with Rev. Pete Wylie officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Mrs. Lauderdale will lie in state Thursday, September 8, 2005 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Lowell-Tims Chapel in Eldorado, Oklahoma.
The family will gather at the Panther Inn in Eldorado following the service.
