Obituary for Lucille Booker
Lucille Booker , age 73, was born October 13th, 1920 in Eastern Oklahoma, Oklahoma, to the marriage union of Mr. and Mrs. Liggons, who have preceded her in death. Lucille Booker grew up in Eastern Oklahoma and then moved to Paris, Texas. She also lived in Wichita Falls, TX. She then moved to Arlington, TX and married Mr. Thomas Booker who has also preceded her in death. To this marriage union was born one son, Mr. Rayfus Booker. Lucille Booker moved to Altus, Oklahoma in May 1993, and united with the New Hope Baptist Church. She departed this life at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital, August 18, 1994. She leaves to mourn one son, Mr. Rayfus Booker, five grandchildren, William Allen of Sacramento, CA, Cynthia, Yolanda and Dorothy Ray all of Altus, Oklahoma and Edward of Snyder, OK; ten great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Services have been scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, at the New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Spain officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: her son, Mr. Rayfus Booker of Altus, OK; grandchildren and great-grandchildren as mentioned above.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Booker T. Booker.
