Obituary for Loyd Harvey Sullivan
Loyd Harvey Sullivan age 80, was the son of the late Ray H. and Edna (Blancet) Sullivan, born August, 22, 1937 in Mangum, Oklahoma. He died March 6, 2018, at English Village Manor in Altus, Oklahoma. Loyd was a life long resident of Greer County, attending school at City View where he graduated from high school. Loyd married Myrtie Westmoreland Curry on May 6, 1965.
He was a hard working farmer who always tried to find a way to make people smile. He worked for Greer county district 1 until he retired. He then worked for Greer Funeral Home for several years.
Loyd was raised in the first United Methodist Church. He attended Trinity Baptist where he served as treasurer and an usher.
Survivors include two children, daughter Saundra and husband Jeff Burchill son Monte Dale Curry ,two grandchildren MaKenzie and Husband R.J. Weaver, Traci Hooper and Husband Al, , three great grandchildren Heather Adams and husband Justin, Zac Downey and Kazia Curry and great greatgrand daughter Charley Adams, one brother, David Sullivan and wife Barbara. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Myrtie
Sullivan, brother Donnie Sullivan and Granddaughter Melanie Curry.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 9, 2018, at the Methodist Church in Mangum, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at the Roselawn Cemetery, Mangum, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Greer Funeral Home.
