Lorine O'Keiff
Lorine O'Keiff, 89, former resident of Altus, passed away Sunday in the Villa St. Joseph Nursing Home of Lenexa, Kansas. She was born July 13, 1905 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Arthur Lane and May (Peacock) Ingle. She married Sam Roane O'Keiff in Albuquerque, New Mexico July 23, 1930 and he preceded her in death in 1982. She was a teacher in the Altus School System, having taught the third grade at Eugene Field for 13 years. After retiring from the school system, they moved to Harlingen, Texas where they owned and operated the Garden motel. Lorine operated a private school in her home in Harlingen. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Altus. Lorine had resided in Lenexa, Kansas for the past four years.
Grave side services have been scheduled for 10 am Wednesday in the Restlawn Cemetery with Sonny Tims officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include children; Mary Glaser of Lenexa, Kansas; two grandchildren, Kimberly Ewing of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Jennifer Glaser of Lenexa Kansas; grandson-in-law, Mark Ewing of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sam Roane O'Keiff, 1982 sister, Lottie Peters.
