Linda worked tirelessly as a homemaker, taking care of her family as well as being very active in the community. She was a long-time member of Trinity Baptist Church in Mangum and taught Sunday School for numerous years. She also enjoyed being a member of the Greer County Quilters Guild, Extension Homemakers, Greer County Fair Board, and the Emergency 911 Board. Linda was the state President of the Extension Homemakers Council from 1990-1991, and she remained active in the Extension Homemakers club until her health began to fail. Linda enjoyed quilting, cooking and baking. She was known to have the best coconut cream pie and cream corn in Greer County. She had numerous requests for both infamous dishes. Linda loved volunteering with the youth in the area. She was a leader for the 4-H group, as well as a youth leader for her church.
