Obituary for Linda Ann Leaper

Linda Ann Leaper, 83, resident of Mangum, Oklahoma, passed away on February 11, 2025, in Elk City, Oklahoma. Linda was born on August 30, 1941, in Mangum, Oklahoma to RD Patton and Ina Mae Powell Johnson. She married Charles R. Leaper and the two were blessed with three children, Rocky, Jeffery and Tracy. The two were married until Charles passed away on October 16, 1989.

Linda Taught Sunday School for several years at Epworth Methodist Church in Mangum, which is now closed. She was a home heath care and private care aid for a few years until her retirement. Her biggest enjoyment was her flowers and being outside tending to them. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking. We all loved her hamburgers but never trusted her in cooking biscuits because she always managed to burn them no matter what. The first microwave she ever got she warmed up some meatballs, boy you could play baseball with them! She collected bunny rabbits for her home and let me tell you rabbits multiply more than you know! We all had our little moments with her. When Rocky and Kathy eloped, when Jeff locked himself in the restroom, or when Tracy had her first driving lesson and ran the car straight into the shed. PS, the shed is no longer there! She enjoyed her grandkids as well. Jr ran away from her one time when he was very young, down the street naked. JJ hit a line drive right into her ankle. Kelsey used an entire bottle of baby powder on her ceiling fan one time, and it looked like it snowed in her room! All who know Linda will miss her very much.
