Funeral services for Lillian Burgett, 61, of Altus are scheduled for 10:00am Saturday, January 30, at the Friendship Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Altus Cemetery. Madison Clinton will officiate. Ms. Burgett died Thursday after batteling a long illness. Ms Burgett was born November 13, 1931 in Altus to Alvy and Jewel Johnson. She attended and graduated in 1949 from Altus High School. Ms. Burgett attended the Baptist Church, and had been a food clerk at Furrs Cafeteria. Ms. Burgett was loved by all her fiends. As a hobby Mrs. Burgett collected celebrity dolls and was l lover of country music. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include mother Jewel White Johnson of Altus, Oklahoma; children; Sherry Hilliard of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Mike Burgett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; five grandchildren.
Preceded in death by father and son Mitchell Burgett.
