Lester Arno Brown, age 73, of Altus, passed away at his home on Thursday January 25, 2007.

Les was born on January 9th, 1934, to Arno and Sarah McClements Brown in New York City, New York. A veteran of the United States Navy, Les and family moved to Altus in the late 1960's while working for Civil Service. During most of his time at Altus Air Force Base, Les worked on the electronic systems of the flight simulators.

Les was a member of the Amateur Radio Club, Lionel Train Club and the B-17 Historical Society. For enjoyment, Les spent time making displays with his many trains, flying and and working on and operating his amateur radios.

Funeral services for Les Brown will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Player officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date with services under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.

The family of Les Brown will greet friends at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home on Monday, January 29, 2007, from 5 until 6 p.m.
