Obituary for Lesa Belanger
Malesa “Lesa” Ann Belanger, age 60 of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, May 18, 2020 at her home in Altus.
Lesa was born in Ft. Smith, Arkansas on April 30, 1960 to her parents Kelsey Lee Waddle and Wilma Viola (Gilbert) Waddle. She grew up in Poteau, Oklahoma and she married Doug Belanger on June 18, 1980 in Jacksonville, Arkansas and they have enjoyed almost 40 years of marriage together. Lesa has been a resident of Altus, Oklahoma for many years where she owned and operated Antiques and Accents. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and she enjoyed antiquing, gardening, and helping others. But most of all, Lesa loved her family and she treasured time spent with her grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; Lesa is survived by her husband Doug of Altus; her children, Matthew Belanger and his wife Stacy of Altus; and Jennifer McCann and her husband Aaron of Norman; three brothers, Curt Haney; Kelsey Waddle; and Billy Waddle; two sisters, Kay Guersney; and Katrina Simmons; seven grandchildren, Cori McCann; Bryson McCann; Callie McCann; Lucy McCann; Clara Belanger; Quinn Belanger; and Rowan Belanger; as well as nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Memorial Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
