Obituary for Leroy Kenmore
Leroy Kenmore, 80, of Altus died Sunday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Kenmore was born July 12, 1911 at Prairie Hill to James and Elizabeth Kenmore. He attended Prairie Hill Schools. He married Eula Lankford January 4, 1936 at Prairie Hill. He was a retired farmer and an avid Atlanta Braves Fan. Mr. Kenmore had served on the Duke Board of Education for 13 years. Services for Mr. Kenmore are scheduled for 10:00am. Wednesday, October 2, at the Duke First Baptist Church, burial to follow at Prarie Hill Cemetery. Rev. Eugene Foreman will officiate. Services are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Kenmore is survived by his wife Eula, of the home; children, Yulonda Joy Weber, San Bernardino, California; Terry Lynn Kenmore, Olustee, Oklahoma; brothers, Johnny Kenmore, Fort Worth, Texas; Harvel Kenmore, Altus, Oklahoma; sisters, Tressie Vossler, Blair, Oklahoma; Willie Ratliff, Altus, Oklahoma; two grandchildren Melanie Kidd, San Berardino, California; Jennifer Latham, Olustee, Oklahoma; one great grandson, Korbin Shane Kenmore.
Mr. Kenmore is survived by one child Gary Darvin Kenmore, one grandson Leslie Shane Kenmore.
