Obituary for Leona Lillian Weatherford
Funeral Services for Leona Lillian Weatherford, age 92, longtime resident of Tipton, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Tipton Church of Christ. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery. O. B. Dunlap and Willard Cox will officiate.

Mrs. Weatherford passed away Sunday, September 15th, 1996 at a nursing home in Erick, Oklahoma. Mrs. Weatherford was born May 18th, 1904 in Fannin County, Texas to A.J. and Mary (Flint) Daulton.

On November 21, 1925 she married Marvin Weatherford in Frederick. Mrs. Weatherford had worked as a church custodian for over 25 years, as well as worked for the Variety Store in Tipton. Mrs. Weatherford was a member of the Tipton Church of Christ.

Memorials may be made to the Tipton's Childrens' Home in Mrs. Weatherfords name. Lowell Tims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include: two children, Durward Weatherford and wife Joyce of Erick, OK and Doyle Weatherford of Tipton, OK; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; one daughter; one son; husband, Marvin Weatherford on Feb. 5, 1938; seven sisters and three brothers.
