Obituary for Leon Bryan Richeson
Leon Bryan Richeson, age 76, passed away Friday, May 06, 2005 at his home in Altus, Oklahoma.
He was born on August 3, 1928 to Jacob Elzie Richeson and Eula (Slaten) Richeson in Hollis, Oklahoma.
On June 9, 1957 Leon married Janet Sheppard in Walters, Oklahoma. Leon was a life time resident of Jackson County, a member of the First Baptist Church. He loved sports, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and coached little league. He worked for many years for Paul Corbin (Pontiac-Cadillac) and Jim Click Chevrolet.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Leon is survived by his wife, Janet Richeson of the home, three children; LeAnn Drury and husband Mike of Altus, Oklahoma, Jay Richeson and wife Tammy, of Altus, Oklahoma, Tommy Richeson and wife Karen of Altus, Oklahoma, two brothers-in-law; Jim Sheppard and wife Barbara of Gallup, New Mexico and Charles W. Sheppard and Wife Marina of Black Mt., North Carolina, seven grandchildren; Tyler Shelby of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Kirbi Drury, Jesica Richeson, Spencer Drury, Cameron Richeson, Alyssa Richeson, Sidney Richeson, all of Altus, Oklahoma, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Services will be held Monday, May 9, 2005 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery, under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends Sunday May 8. 2005 from 6:30 until 8:00 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
