Lena Collins Weems was born March 17, 1896 in Caseyville, Kentucky. She died August 14, 1985 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She married M.T. Weems September 4, 1919 and he preceded her in death April 18, 1962. She was a member of the West Memphis, Arkansas First Baptist Church. She was active in the TEL Sunday School Class. She had resided with her son John Weems in Blair, Oklahoma.

Survivors include three children Anna Marion Brethrick, West Memphis, Arkansas; John W. Weems Sr., Blair, Oklahoma; Regina M. Smith, Memphis, Tennessee; ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one sister, Eula Hamil, Memphis, Tennessee.
