Obituary for Kenny Mac Shiplet
Kenny Mac Shiplet, age 49, of Altus, Oklahoma, died near Tishomingo, OK Saturday, June 18th, 1994 , following an automobile accident.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Boyd Whitehead. Burial will follow at the Gould Cemetery with Full Military Honors under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Born September 13th, 1944, in Hollis, Oklahoma, Kenny was the son of Kenneth and Dorothy Shiplet. He attended school in Hollis. He joined the U.S. Army where he was a Sharp-Shooter Instructor. He served in Viet Nam and Korea. Mr. Shiplet returned to Altus after the service where he was a Concrete Contractor. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Edith Shiplet of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; six children, Lorie Collier of Yukon, OK, Kenny Shiplet, Jr. of Lawton, OK, Donnie and Robert Shiplet, both of Altus, Oklahoma, James and Sunshine Shiplet, both of Olustee, OK; one brother, Charles Shiplet of Vernon, TX; one sister, Brenda Torres of Altus, OK; three grandchildren; five step-children, Patricia Shannan of Mill Creek, OK, Eetha Kelly of Hugo, OK, Darnell Markcum of Houma, LA, Harvey Hunter of Houma, LA, Alvin Hunter of Hugo, OK; 20 step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents.
